Property taxes will be mailed the week of June 15th. The first installment will be due July 7th and the fall will be due November 10th.

You may access your amounts due by clicking on "tax information". Enter your name and click on "search". Click on the reference number beside your name and your information should come up.

Many of you will notice that your homestead property taxes are very low, if not -0- again this year.

You may pay your taxes at the following local banks:

Bippus State Bank
Crossroads Bank
First Farmers Bank
First Financial Bank
First Merchants Bank
Mutual Bank (if you have an account there)

If you would like to pay in person in the Wabash County Treasurer's Office we are open Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

You may pay by mail without penalties as long as your envelope is postmarked on or before July 7th. I would suggest if you mail your payment on July 7th that you ask the post office to hand stamp the date. In the past we have payments that were put in the mail box on the due date but did not get postmarked until the next day. Those taxpayers had to pay a penalty for late payment.

If you would like to receive a receipt when paying your taxes by mail please include a self-addressed, stampted envelope and we will send you a paid receipt.

Also for your convenience there is a drop box located outside the judicial building off of the court house parking lot.

Your tax statement will have a new look this year. The customer's receipt will be located on the left hand side of the statement.
